Finding Your Paint Color

Determining your vehicle's exact paint color for touch-ups or repairs can be simplified by locating the paint code. This code, typically a combination of letters and numbers (e.g., FL712), is essential for accurate color matching.

The paint code is often found in several locations on the vehicle, including:

  • Inside the driver's door or door jam

  • Near the VIN number on the windshield

  • Rear driver’s side door jam

  • Passenger side sun visor

  • Boot lid or floor

  • Spare tire cover or spare tire well

If you are unable to locate the code manually, you can often retrieve it by entering your vehicle's YEAR, MAKE, and MODEL, and/or VIN into an online paint code lookup tool.

Examples:

General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Fiat, Alfa, BMW, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Kia, Land Range Rover, Mazda, Mercedes Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Porsche, Smart Car, Subaru, Toyota, Lexus, Scion,  Volkswagen, Audi, and Volvo
